Here is a look at some of the projects I’ve worked on and the clients they served.

Community One

Community One is a non-profit startup that improves communities through home weatherization, rehab of older homes, and home repair.

Their info page on Facebook has a great description

The work of Community One flows out of the heart of the Christian faith’s mandate to love our neighbors. Our calling to be compassionate, justice-seeking and servant-minded people compels us to act on the poor condition of our neighborhoods and the low-income housing deficit in our community.
We are connected to our community for common good, and connected to our faith for higher purpose. While we see spiritual transformation as the ultimate salvation of people, we also see the physical transformation of our community to be a necessary and just pursuit. Therefore, we include and serve all people.
Community One does not to discriminate in housing or services directly or indirectly on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, familial status, or disability. Everyone is welcome.

They needed v.1 done in a week so we put as much info on the opening page as we could. We lacked content to fill the site to the depth we are planning in v. 2, so we covered that by loading up the home page with more than enough useful information.

We got the bare necessities on there for starters: vision, description, and a way to donate.

Illustrated Country Road Internet Mailer

This postcard was part of a series of three that were sent out to promote a wireless internet service provider in rural Western Kentucky. ConnectGRADD already had some brand recognition from yard signs and art on service vehicles, so this three-pronged mailing would be recognizable.

The challenge was to figure out the things that people did the most with an internet connection that were fast but not that fast. (ie. no YouTube or Netflix on here!) This was the fun result that was mailed out to several thousand people.

Postcard full of homes using internet in different ways, signified by thought balloons.

(disclaimer: use of a company’s logo does not infer their endorsement of the service)
